Why did Call of Duty: Mobile removed Zombie mode?

Here is Why did Call of Duty: Mobile removed the popular Zombie mode from the game?

Call of Duty: Mobile is a free-to-play shooter video game developed by Timi Studios and published by Activision and Garena for Android and iOS. It was released on October 1, 2019. The game saw one of the largest mobile game launches in history, generating over US$327 million with 250 million downloads by June 2020.

Players can choose to play ranked or non-ranked matches in multiplayer mode. It has two types of in-game currencies: “Credits”, which are earned through playing the game, and “COD Points”, which have to be bought with real-world money. It is possible to play the full game without paying, though some exclusive character and weapon skins can only be bought with COD Points.

Apart from standard matchmaking, a private room for both the multiplayer and battle royale modes can also be accessed where players can invite and battle with just their in-game friends. Additionally, the game features special and limited multiplayer modes that may last for days, weeks, or a whole game season. These include Prop Hunt, Rapid Fire, Sticks, and Stones, 2v2, Capture the Flag, One Shot One Kill, Snipers Only, and Gun Game, among others.

Zombies in COD: Mobile is pretty highly featured. There are raid modes and a survival option, hopefully catering to whatever you had in mind. In order to complete a raid, you’ll have to survive 8 rounds of zombies in normal mode, and 12 in hardcore. After this, you’ll face off against an enormous Abomination in a specialized arena with all your surviving teammates.

The Survival Mode is a more recognizable Zombies experience, Survival mode puts you in the same situation as previous games. You’re tasked with surviving wave after wave of undead in a team of four, facing off against baddies endlessly until you perish. You’ll need to upgrade your weapons and yourself to survive, and it’s a big task to avoid death during the constant waves of enemies.

This mode was adapted from the main series of Call of Duty games. However, it was removed from the game permanently in March.

“We had always mentioned it was limited but with no explicit end-date. We wanted to see the reception, see the feedback, and see how we can potentially shape the mode for the future. However, the model just didn’t reach the level of quality that we desire. The second map, Nacht Der Untoten, is also not releasing in the global version.” said the developers.

However, Zombie mode in other multiplayer games like PUBG has been very effective and popular. Well, at the end it is upon the game developer and the fans what they want. Games like COD Mobile are pretty good in the areas of short game modes and achieving different operator skills.
