This website lets you watch TV shows, news, and current affairs programs from the ’80s with an old-style TV display
This will definitely make you nostalgic. In the days of LCD, Plasma, and LED televisions when we can watch movies in 1080p and 4K colors, imagine what it must have been like to watch the TV in the 1970s and 1980s. Those days, we had simple TV sets with simple controls and no REMOTE. Millennials may not even know what I am talking about but those days were filled with TV serials like Happy Days, Star Trek, Perry Mason, and others.
Does that invoke nostalgia in you? If it does then you can relive it a website called My80sTV. The website is a brainchild of the Twitter user, Joey Cato, and brings you all the TV shows, news, documentaries, cartoons, soaps, etc. from the 1980s. Cato has made the website so real that it even has a small TV which depicts the actual TVs we used in the 1980s and 1990s.
The My80sTV brings you content from 1980 to 1989. Cato has also added the 1970s and 1990s in the Menu but says that the work is still in progress. In my short time on My80sTV, I watched Happy Days, an old song by Calvin Harris, a Popeye cartoon, Letterman show from the 1980s, and plenty of commercials.
Cato gives you the option to select the genres like TV shows, serials, soaps, music channels, cartoons, etc. and also change channels and fix the volume on the TV. You can also drop any suggestions in a cutely designed suggestion box.
I suggest you give it a try and if you like the My80sTV, give Joey Cato an upvote by following his Twitter hand. You can also donate a coffee to Cato using a button on his website. Don’t forget to follow our Facebook page for many such news breaks.
