Viewers pan Swara Bhaskar’s Rasbhari webseries make it fastest to crash to 2.6 on IMDB

Viewers pound Swara Bhasker’s Web Series Rasbhari ratings on IMDB making it fasted web series to crash to 2.6 with 73% viewers giving 1 Star

Ever since it was released on Amazon Prime, Swara Bhaskar’s web series RASBHARI has been criticized and panned by critics and viewers alike. The supposed sexual awakening web series often goes floats into depravity and debauchery. In Rashbhari, Swara Bhaskar plays the role of an English teacher whose student gets obsessed with her. However it is not the storyline that is proving disastrous for the web series, rather it is the content. In one scene of Rasbhari, a little girl child is shown dancing provocatively in front of men drinking. This would fall into serious pedophilia even in western countries.

Censor chief, Prasoon Joshi has already made his displeasure known at what is portrayed in Rasbhari. “Saddened by Web series #Rasbhari’s irresponsible content portraying a little girl child dancing provocatively in front of men drinking. Creators & audiences need to seriously rethink freedom of expression or freedom of exploitation? Let’s spare children in the desperate need for entertainment,” Joshi, who is the chairman of Central Board of Fim Certification, said.

Though Rashbari is advertised as an ‘adult series’, many viewers say that it is just ‘soft porn’ with skimpily and provocatively dressed Swara Bhaskar shown teaching to teens. And that is what made to IMDB ratings. The Internation Movie Data Base or IMDB is a website that ranks movies and TV shows based on user’s ratings. Rasbhari has become the first and the fasted TV series to crash down to a ranking of 2.70 just a day after it was released. Rasbhari received 4,500 one-star rating which translates to 73 % of the total ratings. Out of these 73 percent raters, many left angry reviews for the content and the star.
