iPhone users new unc0ver jailbreak tool released works on all recent iOS versions including iOS 13.5
They did what they promised! The Team unc0ver had promised to release the iPhone jailbreak tool for iOS 13.5 just hours after it was officially released by Apple. Today they did good their promise and released a new Jailbreak Tool called unc0ver v5.0.0 for all iPhones running on any iOS including iOS 13.5.
For the uninitiated, a jailbreak tool is a software designed to provide root access to Apple’s iPhones. Jailbreaking is basically privilege escalation of an Apple device for the purpose of removing software restrictions imposed by Apple on iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems. The jailbreakers break the iOS and use the privilege escalation to run their own iOS fork on the iPhone.
This happens because by default Apple products are closed software and it doesn’t allow users to have full control over their iPhones and other iOS devices, citing security reasons. Jailbreak tools provide Apple users with the means to run different Apps and features that are normally not available to users.

Earlier today, the Unc0ver team released Unc0ver 5.0.0, the latest version of their jailbreaking software, which can root and unlock all iOS devices, even on Apple’s latest iOS release, iOS v13.5. Team unc0ver’s jailbreak tool unc0ver 5.0 exploits a zero-day vulnerability in the iOS operating system. This zero-day was discovered by a hacker known as Pwn20wnd who is also a member of Team unc0ver. Apple apparently doesn’t know about this particular zero-day in its iOS software otherwise it would have patched the latest iOS 13.5 against this particular zero-day.
According to Pwn20wnd, today’s release marks the first time in five years that there’s been a jailbreak package that can root a current version of the iOS operating system. The last one was released in late 2014.
#unc0ver v5.0.0 will be the first 0day jailbreak released since iOS 8!
Every other jailbreak released since iOS 9 used 1day exploits that were either patched in the next beta version or the hardware.
This will be a big milestone for jailbreaking.

The Unc0ver team said they tested the jailbreak on different iPhone operating systems from iOS 11 to iOS 13.5 with Cydia and tweak injection. The new unc0ver jailbreak tool differs from other jailbreaks available online according to Pwn20wnd. He said that this particular jailbreak uses the zero-day which keeps Apple’s iOS security features intact and running even after jailbreak. This means that your iPhone will continue to flag security issues that Apple notifies in addition to blocking malware.
