Truecaller is a smartphone application that has features of caller-identification, call-blocking, flash-messaging, call-recording, Chat & Voice by using the internet. It requires users to provide a standard cellular mobile number for registering with the service. The Truecaller app can be downloaded on Android and iOS smartphones.

The company in an article said that in the year 2017, Truecaller identified over 40 million spam calls and messages. These spam calls and messages are detected and sent to the Truecaller spam list which is created by its user community who choose to report unsolicited calls and SMS messages.

Now Truecaller has introduced an amazing feature known as Spam Activity Indicator for Android users. The feature gives detailed statistics of a span call which can be known by tapping on the caller’s profile in the Truecaller app. The feature comes with three new sections of information including Spam Reports, Call Activity, and Peak Calling Hours in its latest update.

Spam Reports: Shows how many times Truecaller users have marked this specific number as spam, and indicates the percentage increase or decrease in reports. Truecaller’s Community, of 150 million people, continuously reports new spam numbers every day! This helps others around the world stay safe from fraud, harassment, and sales calls.

Call Activity: Truecaller is able to determine the number of calls the number has made recently. This potentially indicates how much of a spammer the number is.

Peak Calling Hours: This time chart identifies when the spammer is the most active.

This functionality will enable users to get all the information about a suspected spam caller right on the call screen, allowing them to reject or ignore the call. In the end it was also known that the update for the feature is already released and can be downloaded on any Android or iOS smartphone.
