Xiaomi Mi 10 vs One Plus 8 Pro Android smartphone? Which one would you buy?
Xiaomi and OnePlus have both released their first set of premium flagship smartphones for the year 2020. Both the Pro models—the OnePlus 8 Pro and Mi 10 carry heavy price tags. So, which would you be better-served buying: Mi 10 vs OnePlus 8? There is stiff competition in the market after the launch of Mi 10 and One Plus 8 Pro smartphones. Those who would like to purchase one of the two should read this article first before deciding on buying either one of OnePlus 8 Pro or Xiaomi’s Mi 10.
Xiaomi’s Mi 10 is bigger in size having a 6.67-inch FHD+ display. The size is smaller than that of Mi 9 and One plus 7 but larger in size that of One Plus 8 Pro. The One Plus 8 Pro has a display size of 6.55-inch FHD+.
Both smartphones are similar in display & design. Both the smartphone models have slim bezels and a hole punch camera at the upper left corner. The display of One Plus 8 Pro’s display is made by Samsung and Mi10 is made by TCL.
Both smartphones are excellent in performance as both have the Snapdragon 865 SoC chipset. Both start with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 3.0. This might vary due to software or thermal characteristics.
The quality of the camera of Mi 10 is better than that of One plus 8 Pro. The Mi 10 has a massive 1/1.33″ 108 MP sensor whereas the One Plus 8 Pro has 48 MP sensor but has a low quality 1/2.0″ IMX586.
The OnePlus 8 Pro gives a 16 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, whereas the Mi 10 gives a 13 MP shooter. The images taken by Mi 10 are better than that of One Plus 8 Pro.
The Mi 10 battery life is 4780 mAh battery but of One Plus 8 Pro is 4300 mAh. The charging wattage is the same for both. The Mi 10 has a wireless charging facility but the One Plus 8 Pro does not have one.
The One Plus 8 Pro has an IP68 rating whereas Mi10 has no certification. Both the phones have a stereo speaker setup.
The Mi10 has better hardware than One Plus 8 Pro. The OnePlus 8 price is $699 (Rs. 52,700 approx); The sale of Mi 10 is not allowed in the US but the cost is €799(Rs 66,000 approx) in Europe. If you can import from China directly, the price becomes $575 (Rs 43,400 approx).
Lastly the buyers have to decide which smartphone will offer the most durability? The Xiaomi’s Mi 10 or One plus 8 Pro?
