Did you ever imagine that all those spy movies would come true? Well, they have. Depending on your smartwatch, you can make and answer calls right from your wrist! You just need to make sure the watch is connected to your phone through Bluetooth or through a mobile network. The latest leaks apply to the Galaxy Watch 3 which looks to have picked up some useful new tricks, assuming they work as intended in practice.

We’re just a few weeks away from the August 5th Galaxy Unpacked event and details have been steadily leaking out about Samsung’s latest lineup of five devices. On Saturday, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 had its official app launch on the Play Store, revealing new features including gestures to manage calls and take photos.

Some of the more exciting features coming with the Galaxy Watch 3 are two new smartwatch gestures. The first, a simple twist of the wrist, is a fairly traditional gesture to silence any active alarm or incoming call. The other involves clenching your fist and releasing, which can answer an incoming call or snap a picture in the camera app.

Another useful feature coming in the Galaxy Watch 3 is a new fall detection system. If the user is suspected of having had a fall, it will ring for one minute and if the user doesn’t turn off the buzzer it will automatically send a message to emergency contacts as well as the user’s location.

All of these new features are great additions to Samsung’s smartwatch lineup, and we can expect a bunch more to be unveiled with the release of the new watch next month. The Galaxy Watch 3 is expected to be announced at Samsung Unpacked on August 5th, and we should expect it to be available for sale shortly thereafter.
