Reply to  Muhamad Fitri

Hi,
Factory reset cannot restore system files, when you fail to update system files already delete to replace with update but when it fail it cannot restore again. So to solve the problem you must re flash your phone

Hi,
This custom recovery for android 4.4.2, if your operating system is android 4.4.2 then yes you can

anacleto feliciano

Yes it is running in 4.4.2 but i'm confuse if this will work on an updated os of a536. :). Is your a536's is updated(if you only have this unit)?

androidrookies

Ota update or update fr9m lenovo will not work with custom recovery, once you installing custom rec9very you will not able to perform update from lenovo, you must manual update.

anacleto feliciano

What i mean is that i'm on the latest version of a536. My question is can i still use your procedures?:)

androidrookies

I successfully installed the latest and the superSU here and there was no error. And i can see the superSU icon on my phone. But when check if i'm rooted with root checker it says that "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device". By the way how can I make logs? So i can post it here after I reinstall superSU by recovery.

Look like so hard rooting your device, try using vroot or towel root both can be search at google and install on cpu then just klik root button. after that just install supersu or use default root application if you want. Maybe both application can help you

anacleto feliciano

Yeah its so hard xD. I will try vroot next time. Btw i have successfully rooted my phone with kingroot apk but when i installed superSU and update its binary, it failed to update superSU binary so i unroot my phone again with kingroot 🙂

androidrookies

that why you cannot install supersu, pick one. kingroot or supersu, I think i conflict and make su binary from supersu cannot be installed, and then you uninstall kingroot. I think because of that. try another method.

anacleto feliciano

Already tried installing superSU alone without kingroot and still that message will pop up.

androidrookies

You need to root right? Why not using kingroot, you already success root with kingroot right? Why not just use it? Why you need bother to install supersu..
Use kingroot, solve the problem

Hi,
Not getting your point, but usually custom recovery use to install root, backup current running ROM, partition sd card, wipe data and cache and etc
It just like ordinary recovery but with additional some functions

Hi Andy, I have a question. To root my Lenovo A536, do I first do this guide and then install the supersu from http://www.androidrookies.com/2014/12/a-guide-how-to-root-lenovo-a536-running.html#.V4ddPtJ97IX? Or Supersu first before this TWRP? Thank you.

BTW nice blog

On lenovo you need to change your recovery to custom recovery like twrp or cwm and then install supersu through twrp or cwm that already installed
