Just after a couple of days of the PUBG ban in India, FAU-G comes up in response to PM Modi’s Atmanirbhar App campaigner

As you all know India and China border issues have led multiple campaigns in India which also included PM Modi led Atmanirbhar Bharat’s mission. The mission also brought in an Atmanirbhar app challenge, this Innovation Challenge comes with various cash awards and incentives of featuring Apps on Leader Boards seeks to create an ecosystem where Indian entrepreneurs and Startups are incentivized to ideate, incubate, build, nurture and sustain Tech solutions that can serve not only citizens within India but also the world.

Meanwhile, you must be knowing that a couple of days back the Indian Government shortlisted 118 apps that were found to be stealing user data, which also includes the world-famous multiplayer game PUBG Mobile. However, India’s developers have a solution for this as they have announced a competitor called FAU-G which was unveiled by Bollywood star Akshay Kumar today through a tweet.

Looking at the poster it can be seen that the initiative is taken on toes by Bengaluru-based nCore games which also counts Indian gaming industry veteran Vishal Gondal as an investor. Taking about the name it was revealed that the FAU-G is a short form for Fearless and United-Guards. Moreover, it was also known that the creator has pledged to donate 20 percent of its revenue to the government’s fund for paramilitary forces called Bharat Ke Veer set up after the 2019 Pulwama terror attack.

Some media reports available online claim that there are close to 50 million active PUBG players in India and the game clocks in some 13 million daily users.

It is a matter of great pride to respond to PM Modi’s call and present the world a world-class game, which will not only help gamers in a virtual setting fight the forces of evil; but also positively contribute to nation-building by supporting our martyrs.

Well, the creator of the game did not reveal anything about the features and gameplay of the upcoming PUBG Mobile rival FAU-G. Also, the launch date of the game is not yet revealed but has a status “Coming Soon”.
