India vs China: American intelligence confirms 35 Chinese PLA combatants including one senior officer died in India vs China border skirmish
The simmering border conflict between India and China over the Galwan Valley broke into a full-fledged fight between the Indian Army and PLA on the night of 15th June 2020. American intelligence is also interested in the way things are resolving. The US media described the border skirmish incident in the Galwan River valley where both India and China have deployed troops in recent weeks as “the most serious clash between Chinese and Indian soldiers so far.” confirming 43 casualties on Chinese side but offering no further details about them.
According to American Intelligence, the Indian army last night have fought hard and killed 35 Chinese soldiers, including one senior PLA official. The incident took place during a peace meeting in the mountainous region between the two sides both of which had agreed to disarm to determine how the two militaries would safely withdraw their presence from the region.

The border confrontation between the two sides has been going over a month now after there were reports of PLA soldiers seen entering the Galwan Valley.
The U.S. assessment said that the Chinese government considers the casualties among their troops as a humiliation for its armed forces and has not confirmed the numbers for fear of emboldening other adversaries, the source says. The sources who spoke with the Times said 43 Chinese troops died in the fighting.
Indian Government has given the Indian Navy go-ahead to deploy its assets near Malacca strait & if needed into Indo-pacific, Airforce assets also forward deployed. The Government has also given carte-blanche powers to the Armed forces to make Emergency procurements to stock up War reserves.
On the other hand, Chinese media has buried the news of the worst clash on the India-China border in 4 decades. The leading Chinese dailies, People’s Daily, and PLA Daily, the official papers of the communist regime have not even mentioned the dead nor honored them as Indian media is doing.
China's official media broadly buries news of the worst clash on the India China border in 50+ years. Not mentioned in People's Daily and PLA Daily, the official papers of the Party and PLA (unless I missed it buried in a corner somewhere). At this point in time, there is a status-quo at the border with both India and China talking about de-escalation. But an Indian official told reporters that the Indian Army men are restless given their CO, Colonel Santosh Babu was killed in a cowardly way when he had gone to the forward post to ensure that the Chinese PLA honors the peace deal signed by the Indian Army and PLA top brass last week.
