How to Root Right Lenovo S90-A Sisley Running Android Lollipop – Today tutorial is to show how to rooting Lenovo S90-A Sisley that running Android Lollipop, most people ask how to rooting Android Lollipop ? because they already try many tool that use one click method and all failed. To rooting Android Lollipop you must use custom recovery to install Su binary and i think until now there is no one click method program can root Android Lollipop.

How to Root Right Lenovo S90-A Sisley Running Android Lollipop

Downloads :

  • BusyBox ↦ need to install first before you can install SuperSu applications, contains linux command that needed to install SuperSu application.
  • SuperSu Pro v2.40 ↦ root application that can installed from custom recovery, cwm or twrp need to install first before you can install this.
Requirement :
How to Root Right Lenovo S90-A Sisley Running Android Lollipop
  1. Download all files above and put on your internal or external SD Card. No need to extract the downloaded files, keep in zip mode.
  2. Turn off Lenovo S90-A Sisley, now boot to recovery mode by pressing and hold Volume Up + Power button. This step need the above requirement to be full fill first, when you already install custom recovery your device will boot on recovery mode with TWRP main menu as display. 
  3. On custom recovery main menu, select Install zip ↦ Choose zip from sdcard ↦ browse it to internal or external sd card and then select BusyBox ↦ Yes – Install Busybox_from_CWM_TWRP.zip
  4. Wait until installation process finish, 
  5. Back to main menu again then select Choose zip from sdcard ↦ browse it to internal or external sd card and then select SuperSu Pro v2.40 ↦ Yes – Install UPDATE-SuperSUPro-v2.40.zip
  6. Done, now you can back to main menu and select Reboot. After completely reboot confirm that SuperSu already installed on your application drawer.

I think yes, lollipop is android 5.0.2, so you can try. But always remember rooting or modified have risk to brick your device

Hi Andy! Thanks for the this guide. I have successfully rooted my S90-A by following all the guides (for the step #2, volume up + power didn't boot to custom recovery – I used volume +/- and power key then release power once booted to lenovo screen). Do you have a guide on how to flash custom rom and where can I get the roms? I'm a newbie on rooting but I can follow instructions like what I did on rooting. Also if I will flash custom rom, will it make my phone sim unlocked (currently my phone is locked… Read more »

Thank you for your revision, i will update the guide soon as possible.
For custom ROM sorry i dont have in this blog i am only show how to update Lenovo with it official ROM china or international so for custom ROM i dont have.
For unlock the sim, have you tried to install or re flash another ROM? International ROM maybe?

No I haven't tried it yet. I don't know where to get custom rom (well i believe i have the international version since my phone model is S90-A) and I'm not familiar with flashing yet. I hope you can make a guide for flashing and rom list. Your guide will be my top priority since I didn't encounter any problem following your guide. I'm the one who asked also on the region code after manual install of firmware on s90 (####59930# still don't work, but my phone is still running good even if I wasn't able to set the region).… Read more »

regional code not too important you can still use the device even you not set the regional code

Yes it manual update, i pick the easy way how to install firmware on Lenovo S90-A there is another method and it kind of little hard so i dont use it.

i entered in recovery mood but there is no any option to install zip file there are four option 1-reboot 2-install update package 3-user data 4-poweroff just . if you have any idea to do it in other way please 🙂

til now i heard there is virus on android.
i dont know what you mean by virus on your device but yes. Update will remove all your previous OS and replace with new one

usually on supersu there is a menu to fully unroot. just click the menu and your phone is unroot

Factory reset can also format all data, to format all data on brick device can be done from recovery. Rooting is to max your system, run something that not should be run and etc
