How to download and install Pixel Experience on Redmi Note 8?
Redmi Note 8 Android smartphone is powered by the Octa-core processor and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset. The smartphone is featured with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Redmi Note 8 smartphone has an IPS LCD display and measures 158.3 mm x 75.3 mm x 8.3 mm and weighs 188 grams.
If you look at the cameras the Redmi note 8 sports a 13 MP f/2.0 front Camera(1.12µm pixel size) and on the rear, there’s a 48+8+2+2 MP camera with features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus. The smartphone is backed by a 4000 mAh battery.
What is Pixel Experience?
Pixel Experience is a program that allows the user to experience the google pixel firmware. PixelExperience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot-animation). The program offers the maximum possible stability and security, along with essential and useful features for the proper functioning of the device.
How to install Pixel Experience on Redmi Note 8
Before starting you must follow the below-given steps:
- Make sure you have taken a complete backup of your phone.
- Install the working USB drivers for your device on your PC.
- You should have at least 60% of the battery on your phone.
To Flash your smartphone with Pixel Experience you need to unlock Bootloader.
Unlocking the bootloader you have to be patient as it takes more than 10 days sometimes for Xiaomi to give you permission to unlock your bootloader.
Create a Mi account if you don’t have one and log in to your account on your Note 9 Pro. Turn on sync and find my device in the Mi Cloud settings.
Go to settings and turn on Developer options by tapping on the MIUI Version 8 times in the About Phone section. Then go to Developer Options and turn on USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking. After that tap on Mi Unlock Status.
You will need to login to your Mi account, and then you will see a link there. Browse that link on your PC and log in using your Mi Account, and once you find your device, select it and click Unlock Now. Fill any details if asked.
STEP 4 –
After waiting for a few days, you will be ready to unlock your device. Download Mi Unlock Tool and all the ADB and Fastboot drivers for your device from the links given below. Boot your device into Fastboot mode by simultaneously holding power and the volume down button.

STEP 5 –
Connect your device to the PC through a USB cable and open the Mi Unlock Tool. You will see some pop-ups that will warn you that all your data will be erased and all that. Don’t worry. Click on OK. You will see a progress bar that will successfully reach 100, and the tool will successfully unlock your bootloader.
After unlocking Bootloader on your Redmi Note 8 download Pixel Experience from below

After downloading the desired version start the flashing process by installing TWRP on your Redmi Note 8
After installing TWRP on your smartphone, boot your smartphone into TWRP mode and flash the downloaded Pixel Experience ROM

Note: All the data will be wiped while flashing your Redmi Note 8, it is recommended to backup your data before flashing.
- Boot your smartphone into TWRP recovery
- After booting navigate to wipe and wipe the system and cache. DONT wipe Internal Storage
- After wiping navigate to Install>> Internal Storage>> Downloads
- if Internal Storage was not found goto SDcard>> Downloads
- In Downloads search for the downloaded Pixel file
- Swipe to flash
