Top game releases for July 2020 : PlayStation, Xbox, and PC gamers are in for a joyous July with as many as a dozen new releases slated
Gamers around the world rejoice. The month of July is going to have bumper releases with A-listers like Ghost of Tsushima, Bloodstained sequel, etc. After a good June which had the Last of Us Part 2 released, July will undoubtedly belong to Sony.
Here are the game releases that are planned for July 2020.
- Ghost of Tsushima
- Date of Release: 17th July 2020. For PlayStation 4.
Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure stealth game developed by Sucker Punch Productions. It is played with a third-person perspective. The gameplay involves the player venturing into a large open world and explore it. They can walk or ride on a horse. They have to fight enemies using Katana which can also be used to chain up a series of fatal strikes after highlighting specific enemies. Alternatively, using stealth allows one to evade enemies and strike them silently with tools such as firecrackers
- Marvel's Iron Man VR
- Date of Release: 3rd July 2020. For PlayStation 4’s PlayStation VR headset.
Marvel’s Iron Man VR is a first-person shooter video game developed by Camouflaj. In the game, you don Iron Man’s suit and fight enemies. The gameplay involves your ability to dodge out of the way of enemy fire and then blast them from behind. You can also double-tap your thrusters to burst forward and try boosting from side-to-side to quickly maneuver around an enemy for a tactical advantage.
- Catherine: Full Body
- Date of Release: 7th July 2020. For Switch
Catherine: Full Body is a remake/enhanced port of the 2011 Catherine video game. It was developed and published by Atlus’ Studio Zero Team. The story follows Vincent Brooks, a man who is beset by supernatural nightmares while torn between his feelings for longtime girlfriend Katherine and the similarly-named beauty Catherine. The gameplay is divided between the daytime, where Vincent interacts with the characters in social simulation, and his dreams where he must navigate three-dimensional towers through combined platforming and puzzle-solving.
- NASCAR Heat 5
- Date of release: 10th July 2020. For PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One
There is no need to describe NASCAR Heat 5 gameplay. You Race!!! Other than a new single-player track testing mode, the gameplay remained largely the same as its predecessor, NASCAR Heat 4.
- Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon Sequel

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 follows on in a similar style from the original, presenting action with more than a hint of Castlevania 3 to it all, and this time out it boasts three new playable characters and a more expansive campaign.
- Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town
- Date of Release: 10th July 2020. For PC and Switch
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is the 3D remake of the game and involves the same gameplay. You play a farmer whose goal is to make a profit from the farm he runs by producing crops and raising livestock.
- Deadly Premonition 2
- Date of Release: 10th July 2020. For Switch
Deadly Premonition 2 is an open-world, single-player adventure and follows FBI agent Francis York Morgan as he investigates a mysterious serial murder case in the fictional town of Le Carré within New Orleans.
- Death Stranding
- Date of Release: 14th July 2020. For PC
Death Stranding is an action game by Hideo Kojima and developed by Kojima Productions. The game is set in the United States during the aftermath of the eponymous Death Stranding, which caused destructive creatures from a realm between life and death to begin roaming the Earth. Players control Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with delivering supplies to the fractured and isolated colonies that remain and reconnecting them via a wireless communications network.

Rocket Arena is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena third-person shooter online video game developed by Final Strike Games. The gameplay involves the player mastering a rocket. Once you master the rocket, you use the rockets to knockout and send opponents flying.
- Neon Abyss
- Date of Release: 14th July 2020. For PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch
Team17, in collaboration with Veewo Games, has launched a demo for the fast-paced, roguelite Neon Abyss on Nintendo Switch. The players answer Hades’ call and pit themselves against the New Gods of mobile video, fast food, and more across four randomly generated levels.
- Paper Mario: The Origami King
- Date of release: 17th July 2020. For Switch
Paper Mario: The Origami King is a role-playing video game developed by Intelligent Systems. The player controls a paper version of Mario in a 3D world that fuses other paper and three-dimensional constructs, including origami sculptures. The player explores the game’s overworld to collect coins and items, encounter non-playable characters (NPCs), solve various puzzles based on the paper world concept, and upon encountering enemies, enter into combat to defeat them.
