Google integrates its Google Tasks app with its Calendar app to make it more productive
Google Tasks was launched two years back by the technology giant as a standalone app that lets you create a to-do list within your desktop Gmail or the Google Tasks app. When you add a task, you can integrate it into your Gmail calendar, and add details or subtasks. Tasks also enable you to drag and drop emails into your to-do list, rearrange the order of your tasks, and check off completed ones. With the updated Gmail design, Google Tasks is sleeker and easier to incorporate into your work routine.
According to the various media reports, this integration between Google Tasks and Calendar was seen late last year. The merger added a “Tasks” option when you tap the “+” FAB in Calendar and then create a task like you normally would right inside the Calendar app. It works the same way as you can currently create a Goal or Reminder.
Well, now as reported by Android Police, it is official that Google is going to integrate the Tasks app with the legit Google Calander app as the company must be aiming the productiveness of both being together.
Google Calendar’s integration with Google Tasks is officially rolling out for all users. With the updated app creating a task shows a similar interface to add an event, with title, details, date, all-day toggle or specific timing, recurrence, and an additional option to choose which Tasks list the item will be added to. It is worth knowing that the new changes will also work even if you don’t have the Tasks standalone app installed on your device.
