Download MIUI 12 Eligibility Test App and Check whether your Xiaomi Smartphone will get MIUI 12 Update or not

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced that it will stop all development of the current MIUI 11 fork of Android including security patches and concentrate on the new launcher, MIUI 12 for its Xiaomi smartphones. We had earlier written about the Xiaomi smartphones getting readied for MIUI 12 update.

Some of the Xiaomi smartphones to be updated to MIUI 12 are Redmi K30, Redmi K20 Pro, and Redmi K20, Redmi 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7s Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 7, and Redmi 7A. The brand new Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, as well as the Mi 9, Mi 9SE, Mi 9 Pro are also expected to get the MIUI 12 update. Other models include the Mi 8, the discontinued Mi CC9 Pro, Mi CC9, Mi CC9e, Xiaomi Mix 3, Mix 2s, and Mix 2 will also get the MIUI update.

However, if you are a Xiaomi smartphone owner, you can now check whether your smartphone is eligible for the newer version of MIUI 12 to be released soon by Xiaomi. Since a lot of Xiaomi smartphones are apparently being left from being updated to the MIUI 12 by Xiaomi, you can take the “MIUI 12 Eligibility Test“ to confirm whether your smartphone will be updated to the new launcher.

How to Use the MIUI 12 Eligibility Test App:

  • Download and install the App from the Google Play store from here.
  • Open the app and click on the Check button.
  • The App verifies whether your Xiaomi smartphone is eligible to receive the MIUI 12 update once Xiaomi releases it.

Remember, the App is developed Alpha Developers Official and not an official App by Xiaomi. This app is in development hence it may be unstable. It just looks at the hardware parameters to tell you whether your Xiaomi smartphone will receive the MIUI 12 update. The App is quite small at 7MB in size.
