Are you getting NSFW ads on your YouTube?

YouTube users complain about getting Explicit/ Pornographic Adverts on the Official YouTube App; here is what you can do!

With the CoronaVirus lockdown in progress, YouTube has become the hot favorite App or website to watch. As more people have free time on their hands and instead of watching the illegal movie streaming websites and inviting malware or adware to their smartphones or PC/laptops, people prefer to use the clean Google’s YouTube App or website.

But what happens if YouTube itself plays foul with users. A lot of users have complained about getting RESTRICTED category explicit ads that can’t be viewed in front of children or family members.

Why does YouTube show Explicit/Pornographic Ads

Like any company, Google is driven by commercial interests. Google’s YouTube offers FREE video uploading and video viewing services to millions of users worldwide. Each video requires massive server space and imagine millions of videos being uploaded on Google servers. So how does YouTube make money out of this exercise? Google is no saint so it shows us ads on YouTube at the start and in the middle of the video.

Nowadays YouTube shows you an advert that runs 12 seconds compulsorily if you want to watch a video. It also has a skippable ad that runs 30 seconds. The compulsory ads fetch Google more money from advertisers and if it is NSFW or adult content means more moolah for Google. Hence the ads!

The soft porno ads also become a nuisance or a serious problem if you have kids watching them. Like always, social media tracks such complaints and Reddit is one of the platforms which has seen many complaints from different users. The problem with the YouTube NSFW ads is unlike earlier when you could report an ad, now you can’t even report a vulgar ad if you don’t like it.

What can you do about your YouTube showing 18+ adult ads?

You can avoid such NSFW ads or any ad for that matter by paying Google money and switching to YouTube Premium. YouTube Premium costs around $2 or Rs.129.00 a month and lets you watch videos without any advertisements. Additionally, you get premium content exclusive to paid subscribers.

You can also use forked versions of YouTube to watch the videos without any adverts. There are two forks that are quite popular. These Apps allow you to watch YouTube videos without any ads or costly subscriptions.

  1. Vanced :

  2. NewPipe.

Since these forked versions are actually illegal clones of YouTube, you won’t find them on Google Play. We are giving you the APK links for the above Apps.

You can download NewPipe Apk here.

You can download Vanced Apk 2020 ( v15.05.54) here.
