Ming-Chi Kuo says Largan to Ship ‘High-End’ Camera Lenses for iPhone 12 series to improve image quality

Earlier we saw Apple Watcher Jon Prosser leaked the upcoming iPhone 12 specifications and details and now he also indicated “iPhone OS” in his tweet a couple of weeks ago. The previous leak from Jon says that the iPhone 12 series all models will have 5G support, and sport 3 rear cameras. Moreover, last month Apple has gone through many errors like the iPhone SE’s weakness, how to crash an iPhone with a message, more Mail vulnerabilities in iOS, FaceID adapts to face masks, Microsoft’s multi-window support for iPad, and the magical things MacOS cannot do.

But now in new research, Ming-Chi Kuo analyst says Largan will supply the premium camera lenses to Apple for the phones from mid-July, although Apple has received the same components slightly earlier in the last couple of years.

Compared to past years, Largan’s estimated production window for the second half of 2020 has been delayed by four to six weeks, meaning peak iPhone lens shipments will fall between September and November. Previous years have seen the firm ship product to Apple assembly partners between August and October.

He also fails to mention what kind of ‘high-end’ lens will actually be found in the upcoming iPhone 12 series. However, AppleInsider notes that he mentioned that the iPhone 12 lineup would be integrated with a 7P or seven-element lens solution in an earlier report. For those that don’t know, a 7P lens greatly improves image quality as it increases the light transmission rate compared to previous models.

We also saw the Apple Watcher Jon Prosser, show that the iPhone 12 series price will start from $649. Earlier few leaks said there can be four iPhone models under the 5G series, and the 5.4 inches iPhone 12 price will be $649, 6.1-inch iPhone 12 price will start from $749 and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro will have a price tag of $999. And at last, the top-end iPhone 12 Pro Max with 6.7-inch will have a price of $1099.
