Apple confirms the delay of iPhone 12 by ‘a few weeks’
According to the previous history and Apple fan knows that September is the month of Apple as it has released multiple Apple flagships in the month. As you all must know the long-rumored Apple iPhone 12 launch is coming close day by day, and also multiple reports claimed that the company will launch the flagship in September.
Well, Apple has now confirmed the delay in the launch of the iPhone 12 flagship by a few weeks. The company during its Q3 earnings announcement earlier today confirmed that the new iPhones will be available a few weeks later than their usual schedule. Apple however did not give any reason behind the delay of the iPhones.
“Last year we started selling new iPhones in late September, this year we expect supply to be available a few weeks later,” said Apple CFO Luca Maestri
However, Apple’s confirmation of the delay of the iPhone 12 is an unprecedented announcement by the company. In the past, Apple has refused to even acknowledge that a new iPhone is coming, let alone confirm any sort of details about a release date or delays.
“I said in my remarks that a year ago we launched a new iPhone in late September. And I said that this year, the supply of the new product will be a few weeks later than that.” Maestri
The reason for the delay of the launch was not been cleared by the company, but we know it can be the slowdown of the globe due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Meanwhile, we can still expect the launch of the iOS 14 in September as the company has been actively updating and solving issues in it.
