 Enable USB debugging and OEM Unlocking

  1. Go to Settings > About phone, and then tap ‘Build number’ 7 times or until you get the message ‘You’re now a developer!’.
  2. Go back to Settings, choose ‘Developer options’. Find the ‘USB debugging’ option and enable it.
  3.  In the ‘Developer Option,’ you will also find the ‘OEM Unlocking’ option, just enable it. It will ask for your PIN/Screen unlock code to enable it.


  1. Right click on ADB FASTBOOT and select Extract to “ADB FASTBOOT FILES” folder
  2. Rename the TWRP_3.0.2.2-moto_E3_power.img into twrp.img
  3. Now put the twrp.img file in ADB FASTBOOT FILES folder.

 Driver Installation

Install Universal Windows ADB Driver on your PC, then install Motorola Driver and restart your PC.

Install TWRP Recovery and Root Moto E3 Power

  1. Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable
  2. Once you connect to PC, you will get a pop up on your Moto E3 Power
  3. Just tick the “Always allow from this computer ” checkbox and tap OK
  4. Open the “ADB FASTBOOT FILES” folder on your PC
  5. Inside the folder, hold “Shift” Key then right click and select “Open command Windows here
  6. Now type this below command

    adb devices

  7. Now you will be able to see your device. Mean driver installed properly
  8. Now disconnect your Moto E3 Power from PC, don’t close the command prompt.
  9. Power off your device, then press the power and volume up buttons simultaneously
  10. It will come into boot menu
  11. You will see three mode A. Recovery B. Fastboot C. Normal
  12. Use volume up or down key to navigate fastboot mode. Then press power key to enter into Fastboot mode.
  13. Now connect your phone to PC via USB
  14. Now execute this command

    fastboot oem unlock

  15. once it down you need to execute this command

    fastboot format userdata

  16. Now restart your phone, while restarting you will see that “device unlocked”
  17. Copy and paste the into internal memory of phone
  18. Power off your device, then press the power and volume up buttons simultaneously
  19. It will come into boot menu
  20. Use volume down key to go into fastboot mode
  21. Now connect your phone to PC via USB
  22. Type this command and hit enter, just make sure twrp.img file is in ADB FASTBOOT folder

    fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

  23. It will return to finish once the flashing process complete
  24. Go to boot menu by pressing Power+ Volume Up Key then navigate to “RECOVERY MODE”
  25. You will see TWRP recovery mode.
  26. Now make a backup of your current ROM in external sd card, If you don’t know how to backup ROM via TWRP then Google it!
  27. Now tap on Install then browse and select (If you put in external then browse external)
  28. Swipe to confirm the flash
  29. Once done do Wipe Dalvik & Cache then tap on Reboot System To Restart
  30. Your Moto E3 Power is now rooted.
  31. Done!!!! You have successfully rooted/flashed your MotoE3 Power Android smartphone. Enjoy!!!!!!
