After adding the Safe Folder feature, now File by Google to add a Favorites folder, here is everything you need to know.
Files (also written as Files by Google and formerly known as Files Go) is a file management app for file browsing, media consumption, storage clean-up, and offline file transfer. It was released by Google on December 5, 2017. The app is available in 90 languages and currently only on the Android platform. We previously reported that after two months of development the Safe Folder feature was released for all Beta Users.
As XDA-developer reported, Now Files by Google is working on a new feature called Favorites folder to let you organize your favorite files in one place for quick access. XDA Developers chief editor Mishaal Rahman has discovered the new feature in the Files by Google version 1.0.325710463. He managed to surface the menu options for the Favorites folder and was able to add a file to it, but the folder itself wasn’t viewable.

With this new feature, all the Files by Google users will be now able to mark their important and frequently used files as Favorite file which can be accessed in the Favorites folder. So now you won’t have to dig deep into a pile of folders and subfolders every time you want to access that specific file. Just adding it to the Favorite folder will ensure you can quickly reach it whenever you need it.
However, it is worth knowing that the feature is still in the development and only available for Beta users. The feature will be released in the near future as there is no news from the company about this.
